Canadian Permanent Residency

Once your application for permanent residence has been approved and a visa issued, the next step is to come to Canada and land as a Permanent Resident (PR).

Arrive

Once the PR visa has been issued, you must come to Canada and land within a fixed time period, usually within 6-8 weeks. If you need any help with understanding this timeline let us know.

Settle

Your first few weeks in Canada may be hectic but at the same time could be exhilarating! You may be looking for accommodation, work and schools if you have any children coming with you. Anxious? We will be able to help you with the settlement process.

Maintain

Once landed you must maintain your Permanent Residence status; namely by being in Canada for 730 days in the five year period immediately prior. Failure to do so can mean the loss of your PR status!
